I actually laughed when I read about the new laws for smoking... Its pathetic. Honestly. So now you wont be allowed to smoke in your OWN home, because it may be hazardous to your domestic worker, oh, and you cant smoke outside either, as it can be bad for the ppl walking past you... Poor innocent pedestrians ya'know. But they still allow people to drink, in their homes, and in public places, and then those people go out and get into their cars and kill MILLIONS!! Thats awesome. I'm just glad I've stopped smoking, dont have to put up with this shit, but if I was still a smoker, I would NOT have taken it lying down!!!

I have been wanting to stop for a while now, just couldnt, but I was at a very nice "meeting" this saturday, which gave me some motivation, and also, after the accident, I felt like i had a second chance (sounds so dramatic...lol) and i dont want to f**k up this time. You know what bothers me are drunk drivers. I don't care what a person does to himself, but to get behind the wheel of a car and put innocent people at risk, that's a horrible thing. I wouldn't mind a federal law standardizing compulsory punishment for driving under the influence above a certain blood alcohol content level.
here in chicago, there are smoking bans in all bars and restaurants, BUT they are being lifted because the bears are in the superbowl. go figure on that one...
The town I work in has a law that you can't smoke standing still, only when you're walking!

I am not a smoker never have been and never will be (tastes like licking an ashtray) so this doesnt bother me at all.
I do however take smoke breacks because I cant stand sitting in an office all day with the noisy girl

Yeah the smoking laws are getting a little ugly. I'm glad I never got addicted to it, but my dad is kind of screwed, and what about these taxes on the cigs?

And about the chocolate. . . I'm a temp-fix type of chick, but you are right, long term chocolate doesn't solve problems. I'd say I'm trying to cut down, but that's currently a lie since I just had chocolate cake and four chocolate cookies. That sounds so bad right now. I have no self control.
Oh Stewart, I'm with you on the drunk driving thing. I'm tired of seeing all those white crosses on the side of the road. That is so incredibly sad.
@ Lee - I also never used to smoke, only started when I was 21 - to my families disgust. Guess I was rebellious, teehee. But I get what you say, smokers also have that really funky smell, from the nicotine I guess.
@ Christina - Girl, were all human, if youre a chick, its only obvious that youre gonna LOVE chocolate, but unfortunately, were cursed with the fact that even if we just LOOK at chocolate, it goes straight to our thighs!! lol.
They tried to take cigarettes out of the prisons; however, it became more trouble than it was worth.
i have yet to see a smoker carry around a paper bag or something and blow their smoke into that. maybe if they did there wouldn't be so much fuss ;P

In the first place there are major campaigns against drinking and driving so your statement sucks ass!

yes, there are major campaigns naps, but nothing actually gets done to ppl that do!!! I have witnessed many accidents where you can see the person is piss drunk, but nothing gets done, not even a test to see if he has been drinking! how fair is that? smokers have to sit in blocked off cramped rooms!! its not the same!!!

REALLY not something to joke about, if you take into consideration how many lives have been taken due to drunk drivers. Maybe the realisation will hit you once you have actually killed somebody. It seems like a joke to you, and its VERY serious!
